POLYPROPYLENE LINERS

Polypropylene Liners

Polypropylene liners comes as a reinforced material and an unreinforced scrim. It is flexible and can be shop fabricated into large panels and the folded and transported to site. The material is strong and chemically resistance and can be supplied in potable form. GDT use polypropylene extensively in the fabrication of floating overs.

Polypropylene liners is a flexible plastic with great UV & chemical resistance, making it the ideal choice for applications where the liner won’t be covered.

Polypropylene liners are for situations that require a liner that can withstand temperatures higher than 170°F.

LLDPE GEOMEMBRANE

LLDPE smooth geomembranes are designed for waste containment applications that require greater flexibility and elongation performance. Our superior tensile properties make LLDPE smooth geomembrane liners the perfect solution for applications in which flexibility and elongation are most important, such as:

Landfill covers

Hazardous waste containment.

GCL

Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) are a geosynthetic material that integrates bentonite clay with either a woven or a non-woven material. GCLs form a highly impermeable barrier that can replace the need for thick layers of clay, which makes them very suitable for landfill lining projects.

Typically the processed sodium bentonite clay is enclosed in two stiched layers of geotextiles which can be either woven or unwoven. However it can also be encased in layers of geomembranes which provides additional strength.

To learn more about the benefits of GCLs or how GDT Lining can provide you with a lining solution incorporating GCLs or submit an online enquiry.

Geotextile

Geotextile materials are generally used for jobs requiring drainage, filtration and separation. They can also be used as a protective barrier in lining applications where they limit damage to the lining and thus can extend the life of a lining system for many years. Geotextiles act compositely with geomembranes increasing the resistance to puncture.

HDPE Geomembranes

Geomembranes are the most widely used materials for applications concerning the containment of solid waste, including mining operations, landfill liners and water containment.

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

HDPE is the most commonly used membrane material for lining applications. When large sheets are required these must be fabricated on-site due to the tendency to crack or crease when folded. It is available in a smooth or textured finish.

Generally smooth HDPE is seen as the optimal solution when an application is required to have low permeability, along with exceptional chemical and ultra-violet resistance properties. Applications for which this may be the best solution include:landfill liners, animal waste containment, power plants and aquaculture projects. It is certified for potable water containment.

Textured HDPE can come with either one or both sides textured. Textured HDPE provides better friction between the liner and subgrade. It also assist workers to walk on the liner as it reduces slipperiness.s it reduces slipperiness.
