Molasses generates CO2 and H2S when stored. Molasses often enters the storage hot and cools of, emitting gas as it loses heat. Aerated water storage. Air is often blown through stored water to condition or mix it. The air may be blown through a pipework system in the bottom of the storage and must be vented through the geosynthetic cover to atmosphere.
