GDT LINING SYSTEMS has operated in the area of geosynthetics since 1993. We are a medium-sized business which specializes in complex and remote area projects. We operate in Northern Australia and PNG.
Low-cost water storages are particularly suited to remote locations where adequate land is available. They have considerable cost advantage over a conventional steel tank storage.
GDT CAN PROVIDE A COMPLETE END TO END DESIGN
We can undertake a site survey and geotechnical investigation, produce concept designs and costings and progress to final design and construction on a fast-track basis. No hold ups. Work can be undertaken on a construction only basis, design and construct or design construct and maintain basis. We can do work on a fixed cost basis or a construct and leaseback arrangement can also be developed.
The installation usually involves earthworks. A battered side, cut and fill pond is constructed. A concrete ring beam is then placed around the perimeter. A geotextile underliner may then be used. The grade of the geotextile depends on the ground conditions. A HDPE liner is then deployed and welded. All materials are attached to the ring beam where they are clamped with a stainless-steel angle.
GDT HAS DONE LOTS OF THESE STORAGES – WE ARE WELL PRACTICED IN THE ART.
GDT undertakes civil and geosynthetic work, including landfills, molasses storages, dam liners for local government and mine applications. We also undertake channel lining, secondary containment bund lining and leach pad liners. We work in some of Australia’s most remote locations.
